Supermarket Management

My Review :
-----------------------
A fair enough time management game.
There are a wide range of upgrades available and are very realistic in terms of effects on the customer and earning.
Often playing becomes very difficult involving a lot of mouse clicks so that we pay attention to many customers at once.
Though you'll get help from the cashier, assistance and other staff but still management become difficult at later stages.
Overall its an average game.

Hints, Strategies, Walkthroughs :
------------------------
General Tips :

The main character you control is a college graduate sitting in her car in a traffic jam who notices that are drivers are getting impatient. She decides to get out of her car and control the traffic. She impresses Bob Bossovich who offers her a job at a Supermarket.

Each level you have a common goal and an expert goal. You must make a certain amount of cash to make common or expert goal. You also must serve a minimum amount of customers. If either of these goals are not fulfilled, you will not move onto the next level.

You may replay levels to get an expert. In every level of the game, you automatically achieve 10 coins for making common goal and 20 coins for making expert goal. It is important to make expert goal as frequently as possible because that effects what upgrades you are available to purchase.

If you achieve expert early, the clock will stop but the level will continue! Keep playing so that you can earn as many smileys and coins as possible.

The amount of cash you make at the end of the day has nothing to do with the coins you spend at the upgrades shop.

Each customer starts off with 3 smiley faces when they walk in. The faces can be yellow, green, or red. Normally, green is the best color to have in a game, but in this case, you want your customers to have yellow faces. When a customer checks out, they will have 0-3 yellow faces remaining. These remaining yellow smiley faces are tallied up during the level you are playing, and every time you earn 10 smiley faces, you receive an additional coin to spend at the store.

If your customer does not have a yellow smiley face, helping him/her will sometimes turn one of their faces yellow.

The first thing to do in the game in every level except the mini games is to move the carts towards the customers. This is mainly what you need to concentrate on. If not enough customers come through the store, you will not make either goal.

The second thing you need to concentrate in the game in every level except the mini games is to stock those counters! If a customer goes to a counter and the counter does not have items, he/she will get upset.

At the beginning of the levels, the counters appear to be filled- they are not! Fill them all either yourself or with your assistant after you push all of the carts towards the customers.

Sometimes a customer will request to be dragged to a counter. Make sure that the counter is stocked before you do this.

Once a customer gets cashed out, his or her carts will re-appear but you must quickly push them towards the other customers so that they can shop.

Do not spend coins if you do not need to! If you have no problem making expert and you have some coins left over, save them because they can be carried over into other levels and stores. Save the coins for when you really need them.

If you are in the middle of a level and are not doing so well even though you will achieve expert, start over! You need to earn as many smiley faces and coins as possible.

If you feel you are stuck later in the game and can't make expert, you can go back to an earlier level and try a different strategy by buying different upgrades. I stopped following the game's upgrading recommendations at level 4-2 in order to make expert on all locations.

You can queue actions except for consecutive visits at the Taste It Counter.

To cancel an action, right click your mouse. This helps in later levels when you have so many tasks to accomplish, and at the spur of the moment, you realize you are closer to another station.

In terms of counter upgrades, one counter never has any significance over the other. Just make sure that you upgrade your counters equally. In other words, don't fully upgrade 1 counter and leave another counter at the minimum level.

Make sure to be aware of when employees take breaks in the final store. You need to assume their responsibilities when they do so.

Remember to click rapidly on your character when he/she is stocking the counters. This speeds up the process.

When you purchase speed upgrades, it helps both you and the counter stocker.

After I completed the game, I was told ‘Congratulations' and it said that the game was ‘To Be Continued' I can now open my own shop! However... once I completed the game, I could not go back to any of the 49 levels and replay them. My high score was stored and I was given an option to replay the game again. If you are one who likes expert on every level, accomplish this before the last level.

Mini Game Tips :

These Mini Games require major concentration!! You must be extremely alert and willing to keep on trucking. The later mini game levels can be especially difficult.

1 - The Food Shooting Mini Game

Concentrate not only on the item that you are about to shoot, but the item that is in your queue. You can switch between these 2 items at any time using the right mouse button.

Try to concentrate on shooting an item where there are multiple items on that line. You get a combo bonus and it helps you get expert.

When you shoot the item toward the customer, do not concentrate on aiming; concentrate on clicking the customer icon.

2 - The Deli Mini Game

Combos combos combos!

Do not weigh and give out one customer's order at a time. You need to make combos in order to get expert. In other words, if 2 customers each orders 2 items, weigh all four items then give them out to the 2 customers consecutively.

Familiarize yourself with the items on the counter. Locations of items are very important if you want to pick them up and weigh them efficiently without the customers getting upset.

Cake Center tips and Upgrades

Each time you upgrade the Cake Center, you will have an additional cake to click on in the horizontally moving rows. Try to not make a mistake and remember that you can queue your actions- for ex, if there are 3 customers waiting for a cake, click on the Cake Center 3 times.

Taste It Center

Customers will visit here. If you fulfill the customer's order correctly, you will get 3 additional smiley faces regardless of how many smiley faces the customer has. When you click on the center, the customer orders 3 items that are stacked on top of each other. You must click on the items in correct order to receive the smiley faces. Later in the game, you can upgrade to 4, then 5 smiley faces upon clicking correctly- very helpful in later levels.

Remember that time management games can be so much fun, but take breaks every 5-10 levels. Sometimes, being exhausted will make you lose your concentration.
